Homemade Hazelnut Spread (Nutella)

1 1/2 cups hazelnuts
1/2 cup coconut milk (you can also use almond milk)
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla
A pinch of sea salt

1. Roast the hazelnuts at 305F for 5-7 minutes or until barely browned.
2. Let them cool for a few minutes, and then put them in a food processor and blend until smooth (this takes about 3-5 minutes, depending on the strength of your food processor).
3. Add the coconut milk, syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla and salt and blend until smooth.

Eat it by the spoonful!

User tip: scoop out a spoonful of homemade pecan butter and top it with some of this Nutella – it’s heaven on a spoon!
