Chocolate Almond Shake – Vegan Friendly!

Four years ago, on a hot California day, I went into a shop called Juicy Ladies and ordered myself what turned out to be one of my favorite shakes in the world. It was a chocolate almond shake that tasted like it had a whole lot of creamy dairy, chocolate, and peanut butter in it.

Only it was vegan. And there was no peanut butter in it.

I was stunned. Naturally, I had to figure out how to make it myself. Thankfully, I did, and now, I have the recipe for you.

Here is what you will need:

4 large dates, chopped
1 tbsp cocoa nibs
1 tsp vanilla powder
1 tsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp almond butter
1/2-1 cup coconut water
2 cups ice

Place all ingredients in a Vitamix and blend until smooth.
