As I walked up to the Sprinkles location in Beverly Hills a few weeks ago (I just happened to be in the area, and I just happened to have checked my twitter account for the secret word of the day that would give the first 50 people to whisper it a free cupcake – yup – it was all chance…don’t look at me like that….), something looked different.

First, I noticed none other than founder, Candace Nelson, was busy getting ready for some kind of newscast outside. Hm…

But it wasn’t Candace – something still felt different: the outside wall seemed to be brighter than I remembered it to be. Honestly, I didn’t give it much thought after that because after I walked in, I asked, “Did I make it in time to whisper manic monday to get my free cupcake?” to which the lovely associate replied, “yes!” and proceeded to give me a FREE chocolate marshmallow cupcake. Naturally, I was too distracted by the excitement to remember to inspect the strange new brightness of the outside wall as I left, because, let’s face it: I had just landed a free cupcake! Heck – everything seemed brighter after that!!

Anyway, bla bla bla – the week went on and I found out there was talk of a 24 hour Sprinkles cupcake ATM/Vending Machine at the Beverly Hills location. Remembering the bright new wall outside that very same location just a fews days before the announcement, and Candace’s appearance with the TV cameras, I put 2 and 2 together (I know, I’m a genius), and, after my trip to Beverly Hills today, I am happy to report that the rumors are indeed reality! I had my new friend and Sprinkles employee, Chelsea, take these pictures of my first cupcake ATM experience. She was so sweet, and happy to do it! She even had an umbrella to shade me from the sun – life certainly is in the details, isn’t it?
